Home of Northwest Athletic Trainers' Association or NWATA. NATA District 10

Athletic training is practiced by athletic trainers, health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients and clients. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute, and chronic medical conditions involving impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities.

NWATA.net was created by the Athletic Trainers in District 10 of the NATA to help disseminate information that is critical to the issues that affect the our membership and to help educate the public about a vital group of health professionals that is working in many different venues working with the active people of all ages.

NWATA welcomes the following new committee chairs!  They will begin their term at the District Meeting in Spokane this year.   We appreciate their willingness to become involved!

NSATC -  Joe Kreilkamp

Joe is currently in the AT program at Eastern Washington University.  He has leadership experience as a class president for two years at Cheney High School, and the School Chief of Staff as well.   He also was selected as the Inland Northwest Student AT of the Year award his senior year of HS.  Now, being centrally located at EWU gives him the opportunity to travel to other D10 schools if necessary to meet with fellow AT students.  Joe says “…as the D10 NATSC representative, I understand that I would be the voice for the Athletic Training students of District 10 and bring input to the committee. The NATSC will allow me the opportunity to bring national issues back to the students of this district and meet and collaborate with other students from around the country discussing ideas and goals for District 10.”   We are excited to add Joe to this position!

Thank you to Joel Buffum for his prior service to this committee!
